Kimberly combines her athleticism, academic rigor, and a deeply empathetic approach into her work with clients and students. This approach has been shaped by her own life experiences, challenges, and her many recoveries. As a teacher at the Soma Institute, she helps students build confidence, explore their potential, and develop a compassionate connection with their bodies. As a practitioner her goal is to support each person in her practice to do the same and to meet them exactly where they are in their life and their embodiment journey.
Kimberly identifies as a ‘lifelong student’. She holds a double B.S. degree and an M.A. from the University of Washington, and has coached POSE Running, CrossFit, cycling, triathlon, and swimming. Her understanding of the human body, her passion for anatomy and physiology, and her enthusiasm for pathology all grew from enduring the physical trials required to be an athlete in several sports and from years of helping individuals with diverse physical abilities and goals do all kinds of amazing things!
Her training with the SOMA Institute is where she developed the sense and skills to address the finer details of structural integration, treating the entire body and working heavily with the nervous system. This includes helping people see and feel the concepts of grounding vs. levity, tensegrity and balance, and fostering connection between body and mind which reverberates out into the rest of their lives. She combines all of these many experiences and 10 years in private-practice along with advanced training in breathwork, cranio-facial harmony, pelvic floor work, restorative circles, and herbalism in her practice.

Kimberly's healing energy was so comforting to be around. She was there to provide support for every major release I had. She was a huge catalyst as to me feeling safe enough to let those releases happen.

Kimberly is very intuitive and she really knows what she is doing. She's so clear and direct in her instruction both when we were having group discussions and when she was helping during the trades. Her unique perspective and warm presence was great to have during this training.

Just had the coolest most insightful things to say during practical sessions with students. The way she's teaches things/modify them really speaks to me and my learning style.
